Has anyone linked NevoSL into a home automation system? If so, which is the recommended way to do this? All I want to do is switch lights and sockets on and off - nothing too fancy.

I am using it with some X10 lighting and an IR543 receiver. I am upgrading some of my switches to UPS and plan on continuing to use the IR543 to translate signals from my Nevo to my PC to trigger HomeSeer actions to the UPB plug-in.

I have mine controlling the ceiling light using a Lutron in-wall light switch that came with a remote that I got at Home Depot on sale for about $40. Go to www.homedepot.com and search using this catalog # 100068863. This switch is wall mountable and comes with its own remote. The remote has five buttons. The buttons are on, off, dim up, dim down, and preset. I programmed My Nevo with the presets, assigned it to some hard buttons and to some macros. It works great and has awesome wow factor. I highly recommend it.

BTW, Tweeter (A/V Store) has the same Lutron switch for $120. The only difference is the color. Theirs is black. It pays to shop around. Hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks for the replies. I've now puchased an X10 IR7243AH Infrared Command Centre and some appliance and lamp modules and I can now turn lights on and off - can't make the dimming work though. Any ideas?

I now plan to purchase a Nevolink so that I can hide the IR7243AH and the Nevolink away in a cupboard somewhere so that I can turn the lights on without having to have the IR7243AH on display.

If you can dim the lights with the buttons on the IR7243AH, you just need to find the right IR code for the Nevo SL.
