I'm trying to program my Nevo to select DVD on my Pioneer Elite DV-F07. I cannot figure out the ir codes to select disks individually. I want to map the movie posters as my buttons and assign them to certain disk numbers. Any help would be great. Thank you in advance.

How do you call them up with the factory remote? If you use a 3-digit number you can just place the movie poster as a button and encode the button with a macro: 1-1-3 for instance. Or is this not how that model works?

That's what I can't figure out. The remote has a button called select disk and then you use a "wheel" or multi dial to move to the next disk. Every time I try to input a disk number the unit doesn't read the ir command.

have you tried learning a "wheel click"? i suppose you could have a macro with say 10 "wheel clicks" for disk ten? i guess that wouldnt be feasable when you want to hear disk 250. you'll probably have to get in contact with Pioneer and find out if they have codes so discs can be chosen by numbers instead of the wheel. is it possible last years model had a remote with numbers instead of a wheel? maybe try adding last years model as a device and see if it has numbers in its list of commands?

good luck man, let us know how you make out!

Go to the Pioneer web site and see if discretes exist, for direct disk selection. Pioneer has a great selection of codes for almost all of their models.

May only be available in Pronto formats but you could cut and paste the hex.

SlewFoot -

Read the info below - It is from the Pronto Forum posted by "LowPro". I had a DVD-727 - which is the standard non-Elite version of yours and this worked! Low Pro, has quite an extensive setup for displaying his video collection. You may want to take a look at it.

Hopes this helps -

Ted

The sequence to enter is below.

Stop

Disc Number (Numerical Selection)

I'd also suggest taking a look at my configuration file. I contains macros to load all 400 slots as I have 4 of the Sony DVP-CX985V changers myself. These macros will also cueue up the rest of your home theatre system accordingly. All you'd have to do is copy my DVD01 (DSI) device as seen in that example pic over from my .pcf to yours, then link the buttons in the IR codes column of the setup page under that device with the IR codes buttons already in your .pcf file for the 995, home theatre receiver's source select, and A/V switch input if you have one. Takes all of a minute to do. You will then be able to simply link any button in your configuration file to any one of the 400 slot numbers found under my DVD01 (DSI) device. I even include loading screens which can be easily replaced with your own if you like. There is also an alternate set of macros 1-400 found lower down in my device which you can link to instead. These will cause a selection screen to come up first. There you can choose to load the selected disc or to continue browsing which takes you back a page. Well worth taking a look at as you have a Sony 400-disc changer.

I want to thank everyone for the help although the solutions didn't work. But finally after 4.5 hours and a few choice beverages I got the right sequence to make it work. This is how I got my DV-F07 to use a movie poster for the button and to select individual movies:

stop
search ( you need either the hex code or learned command)
disk number
play

That is it!!!!

Thanks again.
