I have been having problems with nevo producing codes for X10 and also elctric blinds.

The blinds and x10 operated screen need a code which is held for approx 2 seconds. But nevo appears to me not capable of doing this. Does anybody have any clues to help?

i should probably keep quiet as i dont know %100 but i think you are SOL. to the best of my knowledge you cant adjust the length of IR frequency on the Nevo SL. possibly try learning the codes from the original remote with "long presses" while learning? i doubt it will let you hold it for 2 seconds though -

good luck - Christian

I don't know the specific equipment to which you refer, but I have a Panasonic HDD recorder which requires the Play button to be pressed for a couple of seconds to switch play into Play x 1.3 mode. The NevoSL handles th is no problem. Just keep the finger on the button.

What about a hex code?

I agree with Chris. If you can find reliable hex code somewhere else, try pasting it into the NevoStudio. Maybe check here in the Pronto files area.

However, I have been having trouble with some codes I paste in. On more than a few occasions, I have pasted a known good code from another IR database and the code will not work. The same code worked fine when it was learned into the Nevo, from that remote and its respective IR database.

Not sure if this will help, but it solved the problem I had causing Nevo to turn off my Panasonic projector. With the original remote you need to hold the power button for about 2 seconds, and the way I had first set up my Nevo my "All Off" button wouldn't turn the projector off. I could however manually do it with the nevo by holding the Projector Power button down.

The way I solved it in the All Off action sequence was to put in 2 Projector Power Button codes instead of one. This fools the projector into thinking that there has been a long held button. At first I tried 3 and that didnt work as the first 2 turned the projector off and the third turned it back on.

Its worth experimenting as other equipment may behave in a similar fashion.

Cheers, Peter.
