Anyone know if Nevo will sell only a replacement or additional cradle? I like keeping the remote on the cradle on my coffee table, but it is not feasible keeping a power cord hooked into it. If I had a second one, then I could use one for recharging and the other on the coffee table for just housing the remote while its in use. I prefer this over being off the cradle.

I didn't know if dealers could get any individual accessory.

No. I have spoke to tech support about getting a replacement for a damaged cradle. The had to replace everything because they cannot send out just a cradle. Sorry.

why not just unplug the cradle while you're using it then plug it back in at night? i'm sure you could tape the chord up so its always in easy reach when unplugging and replugging...?

it is really nice having it ont the cradle though. i have it set up like this on an end table right beside my recliner. being an end table it was feasable to just run the power chord though. i do however now and again unplug the cradle just to let the battery go down once in awhile.

Hi tend to agree with HT-Mark. They should sell a 2nd cradle separately. I am meeting with the Nat'l Sales Mgr. tomorrow for lunch. I will mention it to her.

Hi Dave,

A little off topic,

I think it would also be worth asking why they don't openly allow people to download NevoStudio, as for me it was a concern how easy it would be to use but the only way to find out was to buy one.

Now having got a nevo and used NS for one night, I'm amazed at how comprehensive, and nice to use I think its streets ahead of ProntoEdit and a big selling point which people never see.

hey mark, i think its because Neov didnt intend for it to be purchased by end users.. but instead purchased from CI's who would charge to program it for you. and in that case they go to seminars/training sessions etc...

but yeah you're right it is very simple for any DIY'er to program on his own. i also think by doing things this way its saves them from having to provide tech support directly to end users -which i'm sure could be an absolute nightmare!!

I hear the cradle will be available as an option in the near future. You will have to get it through a certified Nevo installer, I believe.

Excellent news Dave! Thanks for looking into this. If its possible, please post when this might be available. Its a very functional cradle and works well as a stand alone base even when not plugged in. And it seems there is never a convenient out of the way plug where you need it most. It would be nice to have a recharging cradle and have an additional cradle as a stand alone base.

Thanks again for passing along this information . . . . .

I often wonder about the stylus and whether these can be replaced. Fortunately, mine is only out long enough to use, then its stored back again. But you never know if you could loose it and be left with using your finger to navigate.

About the only time I use it is navigating a media zone and WiFi settings.
