Has anyone tried using the Nevo with the Sonos system, - Dave?

The remote for Sonos is nice but it can only work with Sonos. The Nevo should be able to WiFI with the Sonos Desktop Controler Program on a PC or laptop and also be used as an IR remote for home theater and other stuff.

Sonos has its own built in WiFi system. Would this be a problem?

If you could do some proof experimenting Dave, you might find an audience with Sonos owners.

I read the Sonos Forum and I don't see one report that calls it a solid or usefull controll solution.

Please provide a link to some experiances who said not only that it works.. but actually is usefull. I don't mean some sort of mashed crapp slung together either.

The whole strenth of the Sonos is the slick easy to grasp interface and if that is not doable...

I would agree with Springs. There was one fellow, a few months ago, who had some limited success but it was certainly not a good solution. Until Sonos accepts pure UPnP from the Nevo, then you will only be able to control the basic IR funstions.

I just posted this on the sonos forum, but wondered if anyone here has had any more luck with this too?

"I have just been trying to integrate the nevo to sonos, and have achieved playback and controll. however the nevo is not 100% reliable sometimes it seems sluggish and occasionally locks up.
