I've tried to create both PNGs, and GIF buttons to add to my screens while programming, and after I save them to the appropriate "button" directories they don't appear? Any idea on how to get external images (other than symbols) in to application as buttons?
As well, can you suggest any good sites or files for different buttons? (I am using X-Web Buttons which is OK, but I'm sure there are much better). Thanks
Thanks, Ocean

as for your first question, I'm guessing that you are using a previous version of nevostudio. Use your help menu to check for updates. With previous versions, you had to save the file twice. Once as xxxxx_0.png (or bmp, whatever), the _0 indicates that this is the appearance you want the button to have when it is in the unpressed state. The secone file is the same name with a different suffix xxxxx_1.png. The _1 is the picture in the pressed stated. This gives the screen animation when pressed.

Newer versions of NevoStudio do not require the dual file types anymore, but then again they are not animated either.

In response to the other question, see this link:

Absolutely.
I did find a bit of a glitch in the software, which looks like this. If I put the animation or static images in a master directory the images won't be shown, BUT, if I create a new subdirectory, and add the same files... presto everything works. (at least most of the time).

Hey... Here is the link for the XP web buttons. I really just started using them, so I don't know all the tricks yet. I do know that the Icons I have created, and the cross tabs have been working pretty nicely. www.xp-web-buttons.com

Thanks, Ocean
