i just set up a new viewing area in my home.
in the process i found the perfect end table
for beside my easy chair. it allows me to have
the cradle right beside me with the nevo in PERFECT
reach, in fact i rarely pick it up anymore.
a little off track but i also have my wireless
keyboard and mouse on the other side, and i feel
a little bit like George Jetson!! lol
will this mess up my battery life at all by not
allowing it to drain?
Hi Christian -
I will take a shot at your question - In dealing with batteries for about 39 years in my time with RadioShack - ALL batteries have so many charge cycles in them. NO matter if is a battery for your car, cell phone, wireless phone at home, laptop battery - well you get the idea.
These number of charge cycles are going to vary from one battery to the next - even if they are used in EXACTLY the same make/model device.
I am not sure how the Nevo device charging system device is setup - but in most cases a charging devive will charge till the battery is totally charged and then cut off. The problem with that is ANY rechargeble battery no matter the type will dissapate its charge normally when not used for a period of time. Then the charger will sense the battery needs to be charged and will start the process over again - hence we have another charge cycle.
The battery in the Nevo is if I am correct a Lithium Ion. This type of battery DOES not have the problem with devloping a memory as the old NiCad batteries did - but they still only have so many CHARGE CYCLES. The charge cycle on the Nevo battery may be so high that all this trivia does not matter.
Having said all that maybe Dave or someone more familiar with the Nevo may have better info.
