Gents,

I am having problems logging on the the Nevo Portal for dealers. Neither of my authorized accounts works. Site says "wrong user or password".

Also the software will not go online to look up codes.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks,

Tim

Yes, I would say that they are having a tech problem. Check back later today

Just called UEI's main #.  Receptionist said "we have not manufactured the NEVO  product for years.  We no longer support it."  She then thanked me for the call and ended the conversation.  So, I can only assume they are in the process of tearing down the site and shutting down support.  The number is (714) 820-1000.  They dont' seem to really care that the back-end support systems for Nevo Pro have vanished nor do they really want to talk about it.  FYI Only.

I tried to login today to the dealer web and it was not working. Hopefully it is just down temporarily. I have a note into a VP I know there asking if UEI is willing to keep the web environment going for some time, more importantly, the "model-based-lookup" within NSP. I have asked if they might find it in their soul to keep this small piece of support running for a couple of years. Have not heard back from them yet.

But apparently they make remotes for Europe. Still. I know they stopped selling remotes in the US for at least a year and a half. I would think the software is the same as well as the codes etc. The Z wave frequency for Europe is different so the transceiver hardware is different.

I think the "tech problem" has turned into a "forever problem".

Hope the VP you have a connection with can make a difference.  It would be a real blow for the device look up feature of NevoStudio Pro to be gone forever, especially since they stopped selling the S70 as recently as April/May of 2011.  That is hardly a year of post product support on equipment that was purchased with the intent of a long multi-year life.  It just does not seem plausible that a financially stable company like UEI would just end the developer tool set with no notice, no communication and only a year since discontinuing the base product mix that I am sure at least 10s of thousands of units exit out there.

They Handled the whole thing very poorly from the get go. At the trade show meeting/breakfast the national sales manager basically announced "have a great breakfast Nevo USA is done, we are out of Q50 and only have a couple of S70 left and I am out a job within 6 months"

What seems so strange is that they left the website up in a state that would suggest it is still a real product for sale.  Rather than putting a statement on the website that suggests some imminent date that support or sales will be discontinued they leave it there and make it look like it is all still supported and alive and then behind the scenes tear down the SQL back-end pieces and break end-user NevoStudio Pro applications in the process.  What are they thinking?

Called them today (Using kminard's number) and spoke with one of the Nevo people that managed to keep a position with the UEI company. Apparently, they're in the process of taking down the website except for a notice that Nevo no longer exists. The website guys just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I cannot log in to the dealer site using my account info
I cannot use model based setup within the configuration software

The rep I spoke with gave me their internal user name and password to try. It doesn't work either. Guess it's Crestron or Global Cache learners from here on out. I'm not pointing remote control noses at each other in front of clients. :)

Has anyone archived any of the dealer pages?

I have some of the files, but not all of them.

For example, I still have only the NevoStudio Pro Rev. 1 installer, but not the 3.0. This is a problem when you have Nevo Q50 or S70 updated to the latest revision of firmware.

It is a really bad new, but honestly, that must to happen sooner or later. The Controller market is not the same as two years ago.

They were moving the server to a new building.

It should be back up and running.

The NSP online stuff that is.

Does anyone know if they will accept registrations? Is it possible to find the programming software?

I have a customer with two nevo remotes and i promised to help them get them programmed, this was before i knew that nevo did not exist in the states. Oops.
