Hi all,

I have had several emails from Nevo Q50 owners here, asking if I had replacement batteries.

I have just added the original factory battery to our website at http://www.Prontowizard.com

For now, I have a small supply on hand. I will try and increase stock if there are sufficient orders.

These are factory original batteries (which are impossible to find) and are ready to plug in, no modifications required. We ship world-wide.

The battery purchase includes an instant .pdf download of our custom illustrated installation instructions which are quite significant as the unit requires dissasembly to change the battery.

Drop me an email if you have questions or any trouble with ordering since it is a newly-added product at our site.

Thx Dave

Do you still have Q50 batteries available and if you do could you pm me a cost? I have a few clients one of them with 3 in his house. Just about every other one I had on the field the battery has crapped out about 1 month after the 1 year warranty. When I called Nevo and asked they said they don't carry parts anymore just whole refurb remotes. I asked for a potential parts supplier that might carry the battery and the guy said "well they were built in China so I might start looking there" great help these guys are.
One thing I have learned in this industry. It is easier to pull a wire than it is to push one.

I found a thread on another site with a pretty detailed explanation of changing this battery and mentioned soldering something from the old battery onto the new battery but the one in that post didn't have the pigtail on it already. was there any soldering involved with replacing your q50 battery or was it just pulling the remote apart and replacing?

The battery at ProntoWizard does not require any soldering. It is a factory-complete battery. Plus opening the Q50 is no easy feat and you can easily break the roller on the right side without being very careful. We include a three-page, custom illustrated instructions when you buy our battery.

In stock and ready to ship.

Nothing to solder, just plug it in.

Found a Q50 replacement through Amazon, the company was BatteriesInAFlash.com. 2 batteries for about $24. Free shipping. After reading the instructions here on how to replace the battery, I'm back in business, the old battery was about 5 years old and wouldn't hold a charge. Now I have a new one and a backup. The Nevo Q50 was priced at $600 when I bought it, so I'm thrilled with this low cost solution for replacing the battery. Just in time for tonight's football game!!
