I want to get a Mac Mini to use as my HTPC. Is there a way to control it with my s70 remote? I want to be able to turn it on and off with the remote and control media with it (i.e. play, stop, rewide...)

Thanks!

On and Off, probably not. If you use standard Apple Remote commands you can operate Front Row and play iTunes content through that onscreen interface. You can also sleep and wake up a Mac with long button presses.

Support for more than that will depend on what media center player you choose to use and what third-party programs / drivers you install (eg. RemoteBuddy). If you plan on using Plex there are discrete codes available in the Logitech Harmony remote database which have made their way around the interwebs in various forms. See [Link: remotecentral.com].

Well, wait a second, you may be able to wake over lan - I have never tried this with my mac mini, or osx for that matter, but worth a shot.

Edit: I take that back, I don't think the S70 can do this without a third piece of hardware (home automation controller, smart router, etc).
