My scroll wheel cracked (i read a few other threads here with the same problem) - I was going to attempt to open this bad boy up and "rig" something with a piece of rubber or a toy car wheel or something ...

Also trying to get a replacement scroll wheel - (but from what I read finding a replacement will NOT be easy).

So back to my original question ... Anyone have any tips before I open this thing?

Dugan99,

also the wheel in my Q50 got broken and I successfully fixed it by carefully glueing the outside (broken wheel) to the inner wheel using contact glue.

It's been working just fine like that for some years now.
