I am having real problems connecting my Q50 to my pc to download a new config. My pc just does not recognise the Q50.
I am using windows 7 with mobile device centre ( I have an S70 as well and this syncs no problem whatsoever). I also tried windows XP with active sync but again no recognition of the remote. I also tried on another pc.
I have done a reboot and a reset - no joy.
One thing I have noticed though is that after an all night charge the battery is totally flat again after an hour or two - could this influence whether it is detected by a pc or not? Also strangely when I lift the remote off the cradle after an all night charge it won't wake up and it is very hot. It only wakes when I then put it back in the cradle!

Could a dead battery be causing these issues??

Any advice help appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

1. Make sure that the remote is active. Just touch the screen before you connect it.

2. Make sure antivirus is off.

3. make sure firewall is off.

4. Do you have installed (or have you ever had) software for a 3g usb modem?
If so then uninstall it! it can be re-installed once the nevo is connected.

As a check, the Q50 will charge over usb. Is your unit getting charge?

Let me know how you go.

Thanks for the reply.

I have the remote in an active state, I tried antivirus and firewall off and no 3g usb modem software has ever been used.
As mentioned before, I also have an S70 which has no connection problems on the same pc.

The battery finally died altogether- it would not charge at all (usb or cradle) so the remote has gone back to Nevo via my dealer.
I assume that the fact the battery was on the way out caused the connection problem???
