Hi everyone,

A Q50 I use seems to have lost its mind in the past 24 hours. It works just great, but somehow the screen is off by about a centimeter. Anytime I touch, it activates about 1 centimeter BELOW where I am hitting (Even with the stylus). It's really quite maddening...

Typically, I'd hit the Home Page text and go into settings to calibrate the device... However, since that is at the top of the screen and everything is being shifted down, that's impossible!

Any ideas on how to recalibrate the screen or get to advanced settings without using the screen? I tried reflashing the ROM, but could only make it to the date/time screen.

Thanks so much in advance!

Adam

Amazingly figured this out - created a whole page button on the homescreen that jumped to system settings... Just in case anyone else ever runs into this.

Adam, I believe there is a way to re-calibrate, at least in the S70 there is, if you touch (with the stylus pen is easier) the top bar where the hour and battery are shown, the settings screen opens up, and in there, there should be a link to re-calibrate the screen.

Just in case you needed to know in future, if your screen is out of alignment & you can't get to the calibration screen.

All you need to do is switch the power off on the Q50 or S70 & turn back on, when the NEVO logo appears push & hold the left & right of the 4 hardkeys below the screen & keep holding them while it reboots. This will then take you to the magical calibration screen

i've been doing Nevo for years, and I never knew that. (I guess I've never had this issue either)

But thanks!  I learned something today. :)

Brilliant to know! Had no idea... Have you guys ever had the touchscreen's "touch functionality" die? The screen still displays perfectly, but now you can't touch it (or calibrate it). Any thoughts?

Only on the SL.
It was an easy fix. Just re-align the ribbon cable that goes to the main board.

Have not had the issue on the Q50 or S70.

Yeah, remember the SL days... Looks like no more Nevo =(

Guess I get to ponder its replacement though!
