hi, I currently have a pronto and usb-uirt; both of which I find unreliable.

If I get the S70 with Connect (& link?) can I use them to blast commands to my av via the command line?

i.e. without actually using the S70 I could still use its functionality via the commandline. I want to use my touchscreen to issue commands as if I was using the remote (and vica-versa).

Also, If I get the nevo can I send ip commands to other devices i.e. my projecter and gui (xlobby) can be controlled via ip (with the correct port) which I currently do via the command line. It would be great if the S70 could also control this device without using ir.

thanks for your time.

With the latest version of NevoStudio Pro software (that's the software that programs the NevoS70), you can add IP devices to your configuration and send strings of data (ASCII or Hex) through a specific port on the network. So yes, this should work for you.

However, I'm not really sure of your full scope of work here. I mean, yes, as I mentioned above, you can send commands, but do you need to receive data back? If so, that can be done as well, but you'll want to study up on their new feature called Nevo Widgets. That feature allows you to get back IP strings from the target device and do things with it.

Who ever you plan on getting the unit from, you should ask them to point you in the right direction for getting educated on the software; it's really powerful, but I'm not sure if it'll completely fulfill everything you need it to do.
