Hi all,

I have supersized the Nevo weather widget.

Yahoo Widget
Get it here:
[Link: mediafire.com]

I am crap at graphics so there are none :)
Hopefully someone better at GUI layouts can spice it up a bit.

It is not completely finished, some of the text box’s have not been placed or sized correctly in the widget but I have moved them around on the Nevo screen.

Instructions:
Load job file.
Change the WiFi Settings.
D/L to remote.
Test.
Open widget
change region info.
delete widget from remote
replace with new widget
re-allign graphics
D/L to remote
test :)

I will be adding:
Wind direction as a compass heading instead of a deg reading.
I would like to improve some of the regex code, but it works for now.

All feedback welcome.

Enjoy.

D.

At the very least it is a great regex example.

There are a few different types. I am also using the "replace" option.

Wow, very impressive! It worked right away for me and I had no problem incorporating my own city code.

The cool thing is that I could trim the fat however I see fit by just deleting button blocks from your programming so that I only had the few bits of info that I really want on the screen (like temp, the image and high/low). Even with the blocks being deleted, the other ones worked great and that allowed me to move those couple of pieces around my DVD and Cable box control interface buttons. Nice.

Thanks for sharing this.

Hi Ry-dog.

Glad you liked it.

Thanks for the feedback.

The idea from the start was to make it as modular as possible.

Font size can also be changed, but remember to re-size the text box.

The Nevo is approx 110 dpi.
So the formula to workout the text box size would be:

Arial 12pt = 12/72 × 110 = 18 pixels.
or
Arial 14pt = 14/72 x 110 = 22 pixels.
etc

The is only an approximate, se here for reasons:

:)

Thank you.

If anyone is good at graphics maybe it can be made even better.

I am working on making it have a live background. I.E. sunny, raining etc but I have hit a wall with NSP.

I will let you know if I find a work around.

Looks awesome, puts my efforts to shame though.
