Has anyone used the Q50 with the Schlage Z-wave locksets (deadbolts and latches)? I'm using my Q50 as the primary controller along with Homeseer home automation software (as a secondary). Any info would be great. Thanks.

I think you're out of luck with the q50. With the s70, you can use ip interface with an ip-capable controller. I use micasaverde Vera. I thinkthe best you can do at this point is use a spare z-wave appliance module that, using homeseer, can represent status and control the lock. Unfortunately, homeseer probably won't correctly poll this appliance module for a few minutes after you actually control it with your nevo. I tried to do something similar with my harmony 890p and my garage door virtual device on my Vera. It eventually works, so for a going to bed scene, it's good.

Thanks for the feedback. I know I can poll the lock status and whatnot directly through Homeseer, so I'll have to figure out a way to get that info to the Q50. I'll experiment a bit more.

woodsby, I saw that you are using the MCV bridge - I heard the Vera2 doesn't work for creating custom codes, deleting codes, etc on the Schlage system. What's your experience been with that?

Schlage also just dropped the LiNK fee to $8.99 from $12.99 based on feedback from their customers, and from the online buzz. I have seen the system in action (I do some work for them) - pretty impressive.

I can't speak for the schlagelink's reliability, or Vera2's for that matter. I have a Vera1, waiting on my V2, but I don't see how V2 would be any different than V1, considering it is basically the same UI. I can currently set/delete codes on the schlage lever set. I can do the same with the quikset deadbolt. Additionally, I am using Vera for the following:

-scheduling lights as needed
-Control of my irrigation system
-Gradually turning lights on at sunset and off at sunrise
-Managing RFID (open the garage door when I get home, lock up when I leave)
-Manage Cameras - Pan/Tilt upon bad keycode at the shlages, turn lights on upon bad keycode
-Lock up the house at night
-Turn lights on after dark when doors are unlocked
-Operate scenes when activated at leviton scene controls
-using IP functionality on S70, operate any devices not supported through S70
