Hi all

I'm new to Nevo and Remote Central and am struggling to programme my Q50. Issues that I'm having are getting the codes of my current remotes. I have used logitech before and thought that I'd give the Q50 a go.

Where do I get these codes from? I basically have 5 items that I'd like to setup:
Rotel rsdx-02
Pioneer bdp-320
Panasonc 42pz81b
Pace d4000t
Dvico Tvix hdm4100sh

I would appreciate it if somebody could point me in the right direction.

many times the code sets are the same between models.  have you tried using the codes from similar models when you searched for codes using the nevo software?

you can even use the remote to test codes before actually importing them into your program file.

one tip I can give you though...

whatever you know about programming remotes using harmony software, forget it, it won't help you program a nevo or any other non-wizard based remote control.

I have managed to get the codes now, but not sure how to lay the job out on the left-handside of the computer screen and also the right-handside where you program your macros. I'm using the nevo studio pro software.

I managed getting the codes but there is a response that it can't find template for any of the devices. So that eliminates me from collecting pages for the devices. What should me next step be?

Are you a custom installer?

Yes... I purchased this unit on a US site about a one and a half years ago, and only decided to get it going now.

Then the Distributor or Nevo Tech guys should help you.
I help my dealers that buy them from me.

Check out the "Files" area on this website too...lots of the Nevo documentation is there and you can also download some sample programs to get an idea of what is possible with the remote.

you asked him if he was a "customer installer"    I'm not sure what that is, but his answer sounded more like he was a customer, than an installer.

I think he may have meant "custom installer" or are you a customer or installer.
