Hi All,
I'm looking for a basic status widget that can grab from a website and and display the status on the screen

The only response from the website is
[4:3; (This means Off)
[4:2; (This means On)

Idea is to use the existing widget for home control for displaying the status of non zwave device.

thanks

You might need to provide some more infor about what you are trying to do here.

Are you saying that you were able to get that data coming back from the website and it being displayed on the NevoS70 screen?

I use Homeseer as domotica software.
With some tricks I have managed to controle Homesee devices.
In Homeseer I have about 300 domotica devices 10% of them are zwave.
Zwave controle is working fine.

I like also to controle all the other devices including displaying the correct status.

For controlling and displaying I'm using Tenserver.
Tenserver is a url based interface.

via Url I can turn on/off a device
or I can ask the status of a device
HomeseerIP/tenHsServer/tenHsServer.aspx?t=ac&f=DeviceStatus&d=[22
Response if this line is than
[22:2;

[22 is device code
2 is device status (On)

Other example
homeseerIP/tenHsServer/tenHsServer.aspx?t=ac&f=Devicevalue&d=^28
Response if this line is than
^28:218;

^28 is device code
218 is the current temperature (21.8)

What I'm looking for is some simple examples how to grab the output and display it on the Nevo S70.
In the last example display on the living room screen 21.8 c

You would need a few different regex filters.

Look at my Volume feedback widget or some of the Nevo sample widgets. Also Nevo just released a new app note that helps with regex.

I have added a time converter widget to my files:

[Link: mediafire.com]

You can modify it to help with the .x aspect of the temp. Also the tuner feedback widget may also help in this area.

Syd, in checking out your widgets, I came across your thermostat widget. How did you create that? My z-wave commands only have integer input/output. And as I said in a separate thread, I can't seem to get the thermostat setpoint get to work properly.

I wish I created that.
Its a work of art :)

I can't remember where I got it, a friend in the USA I think. I think it was writen with a beta version of NSP3 so looking at it I don't think it would work at the moments as all the z-wave stuff is integer and not HEX as the example shows. I will try track down a better example.

Try contacting Nevo support. Here in Australia we have very little z-wave, only light dimmers and switches, so I don't think I could help all that much.

A lot of success comes with lots of trial and error. Keep it dead simple at first and build up from there.

Thanks D. As I mentioned in the other thread, I created a simple thermostat heat setpoint get widget. That's all the widget did, and it would only pull the setpoint that was gotten last through the z-wave test screen in the remote settings. This is a pretty major bug in 3.0 if you ask me, since it means no custom thermostat widgets until they get it fixed. Of course, that's the first widget I created. The widget is done and waiting until Nevo decides to fix this.
See the other thread on the subject to duplicate this bug, or for more info. Quite honestly, I'd rather see less effort put into the widget guide, and more effort put into bug testing/fixing of 3.0, since I came across this bug the third day after release.
