Can you give more detail.

Are you using a widget or web lookup?
what brand camera?
Is it a "web"cam or proper IP camera?
etc..

I have used the ipcam widget and changed this to my camera settings.
Camera is Y-cam Knight (www.ycam.com)
It's a IPcam

There are two options for authentication in both the same problem.
HTTP/RTSP Authentication method:
Use Basic Authentication
Use Digest Access Authentication

I'm connecting to the jpeg stream
HTTP snapshot image:

/snapshot1.jpg

Allow anonymous access will work fine.

I know that IE will not allow using..Nevo is connecting via IE?
Http://user:[email protected]/snapshot1.jpg

Other camera is Axis video server Q241
same problems here.

I like also connect to Homeseer.
Homeseer us URL triggered.
When there is a password on the server it will not connect.
without password it's working fine.
user:pass@ is also here not working.

The axis should work fine using the anonymous setting.
As for the other cam. does it use activeX?

Check the debugger to make sure that you are actually sending what you think you should be sending. Also sending the output to a button caption is a good way to see what the widget is doing.

Personally I have only used the Axis. As mentioned this has always worked 100%. I tried one other brand that I had lying around but it needed activeX so it did not work.

Sorry I couldn't help more.

Hi,

I found the file.

It is real basic. There is a password on the camera but I use the annonymous login feature of the Axis.

I am not where my system is but I am 99% sure that it was working last time I used this widget.

Just remember to change the IP address.

I may need to test a little to see if I can get the password part working. I have a huge schedule for the next 6-8 weeks (cedia australia) but if I get a chance ill see what I can come up with.

This widget has a panasonic camera as well but I no longer have this.

Thanks,
I will try this later today.

Hope you will have some time to find out how the password part works.
