Has anyone out there started controlling IP devices in NevoStudio Pro 3.0?

yes.

I probably should have been more specific and asked what actual devices people were using, lol. What kind of devices have you controlled?

I've played around with sending regular commands to a Fireball and it worked pretty well (the cool thing is that all I had to do was re-type all the RS232 commands as IP commands and they worked right away). I haven't played around too much with doing something with the feedback that comes back into the remote, but hopefully I'll get there one day.

I just wanted to know if others had been programming some cool stuff.

LOL.

Sorry I couldn't resist :)

I have controlled with feedback the following:

Meridian Sooloos system.

Integra AV reciever. Basic control/feedback becasuse I didn't want to convert all the commands.

Vantage Control system.

AXIS security camera. While not realy control I did get a widget working with a custom image size :)

All have been programmed in Widgets.

A friend of mine did some fireball control in the US.

Wow, that's a lot of stuff. I'm lagging behind!

I saw that you had posted some stuff for an Integra receiver. I've been thinking of switching to that brand and if some of you guys are posting stuff for those, it might entice me to start offering those sooner than later.

What kind of Widget did your friend create for the Fireball? The only Widget that I've thought about creating is a "Now Playing" kinda Widget so that you could see what song is currently playing at any given time. I'm still a ways away from understanding how to do that though, so maybe your friend has already done something like this.

sydinstaller,
Will NevoS70 control DVR based IP cameras?
I tried one and kept getting an error on the remote about not being able to handle "dual streams".
I couldn't find anything in the DVR's documentation about that.

Hi MBremote

DVR devices are tough. Generally speaking they work differently to IP cameras. I can't rule out all DVRs as I have only tested 2 but neither of them worked. Can you supply me the details of the DVR you are testing?

Also I guess it would depend on what you are trying to achieve. If it was just control then you may have more luck than streaming an image.

Can you please post you Axis widget?
Will the widget also work when the camera is user/pass protected?

Give me a day or so and I will see if I can dig it out and make sure all is good, then I will post it.
