i never had an issue with range . .
mainly because i always keep the NC-50 as local as possible
and run all the emitters back to the equipment over CAT5 splicing.
works like a charm . .

the biggest downfall of Nevo is the lack of a control processor . .
otherwise i love them.

i just cant use them in whole house systems where we have all the equipment in on rack in the basement.

it just doesnt work having so many different NC-50's all over the house
instead of a central processor and a few antennas . .

Fro range issues you can also easily add a Zwave light dimmer (wall mounted) which will be a jumping-off point to extend the signal in a large area. The Zwave mesh network makes this easy and automatic and you get another 20-50' feet after adding another Zwave device. Just pick a mid-way spot and you will get more distance.

extending the nevoconnect antenna with LMR240 has always fixed any range issues that I have had.  My nevo connect at home is in my basement and I get coverage all the way up to my attic in my 2 story house.  On a boat I did recently, I extended the antenna and was able to walk 200 feet away from the boat and still control the stereo.  you just need to get the nevoconnect antenna away from other electronics.

There is a tech document on the mynevo site on how to extend the antenna.  There is also a company mentioned in the tech document that will build the cables for you.

That is a great tip for residential installs.  That wouldnt always be so easy for my installs (boats)  since I would have to add an outlet just for the dimmer module in certain instances. We stock LMR240 and SMA connectors for other communications equipment, so it is always handy and easy for me to just whip up an extension.

But I may start stocking a couple dimmers for those times when we get called back to a completed job that has range issues where extending an antenna would be more difficult.

Thanks
