Hi All,

I have read lots of posts about what Nevo should add to NSP. Below is a link to a press release from UEI.

[Link: mynevo.com]

I guess it does pay to send request to the Nevo team. :)

In short:
Sonos Control.
2 way driver writing!
IP cameras.
IP control.
Variables global and local(Flags).
Scheduled Macros.
New error list.
Enhanced SuperFast Device Swap - What a cool feature.

Can't wait for the training. This is goining to take Nevo to the next level.

I read through the press release, but didn't see any mention of expanded OS compatibility. Anybody have any information on whether Vista and Win7 will be supported across the board, i.e., on both 64-bit and 32-bit systems ?

This is excellent news! I guess I'll be going to Mynevo on a daily basis to get the software. I really hope that it is compatible with 64-bit Win7, though. Here's hoping.

Another 4-6 weeks according to the email I received from them earlier this week.

But will it support 64-bit? I know there aren't any problems with 32-bit systems with version 2.0. Just wondering if v3 will work.

Exactly. Most Windows machines sold now run a 64-bit OS, so it's an important question.

Nice!!

I hope the 2 way driver is the generic 232 driver they said they were working on..

I will find out. I think they said it was but did not use any 64bit functionality.

I will post back when I have confirmed it.

Korey,
What do you mean "generic"?
There is no such thing in rs232 terms.
If you can add some detail I may be able to answer you a little better.

Thanks for your efforts....much appreciated. :) Just the ability to use NSP on our 64-bit machines would be a real boon to some us, so I'm really hoping for good news on this front.

"Generic" As in any 232 device that transmits status will then be able to be displayed on the Nevos screen or used in programming variables. Currently only the pre-configured 232 devices that ship with studio pro support 2 way communication.
