How do you set up a panasonic ip camera with pan-tilt control on an S70. I've been trying all afternoon, and I can't seem to figure out.

I'm not sure how well this will copy/paste, so if you want a copy, let me know and I can email it to you

NevoS70 App Note 01

Using Panasonic IP Cameras in a NevoS70 installation

 NevoS70 includes WiFi and a built in web browser that allows you to not only display images from a Panasonic IP camera, but allows you to pan and tilt the image (pan and tilt cameras with this feature) by using the touch screen.

Getting NevoS70 to interact with a Panasonic IP camera in NevoStudio Pro is very easy, but it does require you to make some settings changes on the Panasonic IP camera first.

Before you start, your computer must be on the same network as the IP cameras and you must make sure that your Panasonic IP camera is one of the following supported models:

BL-C111                                             BL-C131

BL-C140A                                          BB-HCM511A

BB-HCM515A                                    BB-HCM531A

BB-HCM581A                                    BB-HCM580A

  1. Ensure your camera is running the latest firmware.  You can do this by opening up a web browser and typing in the IP address of the camera.  The version number is shown near the bottom center of the screen.  As of this writing, the latest firmware for the supported Panasonic IP cameras is 3.51 (BB series) or 3.50 (BL series).  If your camera’s firmware version is lower than this, please click here and find the appropriate firmware update.
  2. NevoS70 uses the IP address of the camera to communicate with it, so if you haven’t already done so, make sure your Panasonic IP camera is assigned a static IP address.  This is extremely important.  If the IP address is dynamic, there is potential for the camera’s IP address to change and thus NevoS70 will be communicating with the wrong IP address.
  3. Log into the camera’s interface as the Administrator from your web browser, then:
    1. Click on the Setup tab.
    2. Click on the Administrator option (left hand side of the screen).
    3. On the next screen, select “Permit access from guest users”, the top-most option.
    4. Click on the Save button.
    5. Click on the General User option (left hand side of the screen).
    6. On the next screen, click on the Guest User option and then click “Modify”.
    7. On the next screen, please do the following:

                                                               i.      Set Video Display Time to “Not permitted”.

                                                             ii.      Ensure the “Click to Center” setting is the ONLY check box on this screen that is checked.  All other settings must be unchecked.

You are now finished adjusting the settings for the Panasonic IP camera, you may now close your web browser.

Now you need to create a button in NevoStudio Pro that will allow you to access the camera from the remote controller.

"Times New Roman";mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language:EN-US;
mso-bidi-language:AR-SA">

Within the desired NevoStudio Pro Job file:

  1. Select the button that will open up the Panasonic IP camera interface (this could be a button from the Button Gallery or it could even be a hard key).
  2. Go to the Actions tab in the bottom right corner of the screen and click on the <!--[if gte vml 1]> id="_x0000_t75" coordsize="21600,21600" o:spt="75" o:preferrelative="t"
    path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f">

    o:title="">
     button.
  3. A small window will appear.  Copy and paste this URL into the “Browse to” field:  [Link: 192.168.2.254]
  4. The only thing you have to edit is the IP address in the above URL so that it matches the static IP address you set for your camera.
    1. In this case, the IP address is 192.168.2.254.  You will most likely have a different IP address for your camera.
  5. Once you are finished with the Setup URL window, click on the OK button.

That’s it.  If you have more Panasonic IP cameras to setup with the NevoS70, just follow these same instructions but make sure to edit the URL that you associate to each button in NevoStudio Pro to reflect each camera’s individual static IP address.

Notes:  By default, the <!--[if gte vml 1]>
o:title="">
 hard key will exit the web browser and take you to the last page you were on before entering the web browser.

<!--[if gte vml 1]> id="_x0000_s1026" style='position:absolute;left:0;text-align:left;
margin-left:9pt;margin-top:116.7pt;width:63pt;height:54pt;z-index:1' filled="f"
strokecolor="red" strokeweight="3pt"><!--[if gte vml 1]> style='position:absolute;left:0;text-align:left;flip:y;z-index:2' from="207pt,116.7pt"
to="261pt,116.7pt" strokecolor="red" strokeweight="5pt">

<!--[if gte vml 1]> type="#_x0000_t75" style='width:180pt;height:240pt'>
o:title="">
                        <!--[if gte vml 1]> id="_x0000_i1028" type="#_x0000_t75" style='width:180pt;height:240pt'>
o:title="">

Remember that if the Panasonic IP camera you are using has pan and tilt features, wherever you touch on the image, the camera will follow.

If you need the missing info the original can be found on the Nevo dealer site, but this should be enough to get it going.
