Some of the hard buttons on my Neo always work immediately (like volume up/down). But when pressing one of the four buttons just below the display, the only thing that happens is the remote wakes up. I have to press it again to get the desired action to occur. Is there any way to avoid this? I understand why the "soft" buttons wouldn't work when the display is off, but why don't these hard buttons work immediately?
Thanks in advance for any help.

You can always try adding a longer delay before the command. That should work.

Thanks. I'll give that a try when I get a chance (later today). I'm not sure I understand why that would work. It seems like the four button hard buttons below the display just don't do anything (except turn on the display) when the display is off. For example, if you are on a non-home page, and press the "Device" button, it doesn't go to the home page - it just turns on the display.
But the two in the middle are the ones I want to use, so I'll give the delay a try (currently I have no delay assigned to those two keys).

Toolkit, you are correct, the middle hard buttons are like the "Touch Screen" in that the first press turns on the LCD.
This is something that I guess Philips did not care about :)
