Can discrete codes be added in neo edit or is this only a funtion of pronto edit. I have read that this is possible; however, when I try to add the code in neo edit, it seems that all I can do is select brand and function, etc. I know that discrete codes can be learned and then used.. but can they be entered in neo edit.
If this is not possible, how do I learn Onkyo discrete codes.

Descrete codes cannot be entered in neoedit. You can enter descrete codes with neohacker found in the files section. I got a lot of my codes by taking a ccf file and taking the IR code from it and pasting it into neohacker and WaLa! A working descrete IR code. It works nice. Read on and you will get a better understanding. [Link: remotecentral.com][Link: remotecentral.com]

How do you extract the IR codes from a CCF file?

You need to open a ccf in Pronto Edit. Find the button with the IR code by double clicking a button. Under the actions tab double click whats in the large box. The IR code should come up or you may need to hit the view IR. If there is no IR code, that button may be linked so you will have to search for the button with the IR code. You can then copy the IR code and paste it into neohacker and neohacker will convert it into a Neo IR code.
