I am about to enter the wonderful world of Pronto, and I'm wondering which to get? From what I hear/read, the TS1000 has higher resolution, and with the new firmware updates, can upload AND download from the PC. The Neo has more hard buttons, but will I really need them?

I'm also worried the Neo is newer and will have more bugs. Also, what is the deal w/NeoEdit vs. ProntoEdit vs. Tonto? I heard NeoEdit has bugs.

Thanks!

NEO edit is the software written by Philips to customize the Pronto Neo

Pronto edit is the software written by Philips to customize the Pronto (TS-1000, TSU-2000, TSU-6000 and their European counterparts)

Tonto is an editor created by a user (Stewart) that can edit any CCF file (used by all Prontos, Pronto Pros, Marantz RC5000, RC5000i, RC5200, RC9200, Yamaha RAV 2000 and Onkyo CHAD but not the Pronto NEOs and the Marantz RC3200 that use the NCF file format).

Both the NEO and the 1000 can download T/F a PC.

I don't know if the resolution is better on the 1000, but it does have a wider screen.
