Just bought the Neo and although it's a really powerful remote and an excellent value , it can't learn many of the codes for my Harmond Kardon AVR-320, so it's pretty much useless to me right now. Oddly enough, my 12 year old Yamaha MRX-100 remote can learn them first try ! The keys I'm having the hardest time with are Vid1 thru Vid4. Anyone have a working NCF file that can control the inputs on a HK AVR-320, or a HK model close to it ? I tried updating the firmware and all of that, and have tried the NFC files offered on this site, but still nothing works.

Thanks for any help

have you tried the files section? I'm sure there is a ncf that will work for you.

Yes, from what I can see there are several HK NCF files, but only one that offers any programed input keys and it only offers Vid1. But, I tried it with my HK and it didn't work for me.

The Neo seems to be able to do most of my other remotes, albeit with some persistence on some keys. I guess I'm down to 2 remotes now until someone breaks the HK codes or Philips offers them.

If anyone has a NCF file they think might work with the AVR-320, please send it to me in an email !

Thanks much for any help .....

Check the Pronto files section. That equipment database is huge. There will be a CCF that will work for you. If so download Pronto Edit and neohacker. Copy the IR code from ProntoEdit and paste it into neohacker. This is how I got alot of my descretes.

Well, there's nothing close to the AVR-320 that's not already in the Neo db from what I can see. Thanks for the suggestion however.....

After talking to the folks at both Harmond Kardon and Philips I have come to the conclusion that the Neo has problems learning any IR signal that contains multiple instructions. My HK receiver input buttons actually send out 3 different signals when pressed. One is to turn the HK amp on if it's off, the next is to select the input, and the last is to turn on the device that is connected to the input (it assumes it is a HK VCR if the Vid1 button is pressed). So if you're having problems learning some commands from your original remote this may be the reason. Fortunately, I have been able to glean most of the HK button codes I've needed from other NCF files on this site. My heart felt thanks goes out to all of those who have posted their Neo NCF files.
