Hi, I'm a new user of the Pronto Neo and NeoEdit and I can't download anything to the remote, not even the default.ncf. I have the latest firmware and latest version of NeoEdit from the Philips website. I get this error message while downloading to the remote: "Trying to download into a device not designed for this configuration file."
Help!

Hi,
Try waiting a few moments until your remote control turns off. I get this message if my remote is still on when I try to download to it.
hope this helps,

Hi,
I've also seen this message if the cable isn't fully plugged in, either into the Neo or into the PC.

Hello!
I also get this message if I don't exit the HotSync software for my Palm Pilot. The HotSync software runs in the background all the time waiting for me to put the Palm Pilot on its' cradle and since it uses the serial port it takes control of it so the Neo software doesn't recognize the port correctly. It's possible other software could cause the same problem.

I had the same problem, have two other possible solutions:
Try another serial port, or go to options, then connection and try changing the serial port there.
