I'm trying to convert the following Hex Code in Pronto2NeoConverter, but the Hex is to long. I don't know how to minamize it to make it work correctly. Here is the code...
0000 006d 0074 0000 0155 00ab 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0014 0016 0014 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0014 0016 0040 0016 0014 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0014 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0014 0016 0040 0016 0014 0016 0015 0016 06fa 0155 0055 0016 0e4a 0155 0055 0016 062d 00e4 0097 001c 0025 001d 004b 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 0025 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 0025 001d 0025 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001d 013d 00e4 0097 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 0025 001c 004b 001d 004b 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001d 0025 001c 0025 001c 0025 001c 004b 001d 004b 001c 0025 001c 0025 001c 0025 001d 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 013d 00e4 0097 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 0025 001d 0025 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 0025 001d 0025 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 0025 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 00ab

...
How do I clean up the repeats? This code is from a Pronto TSU1000. I am more than willing to send someone money for this. My ProntoNeo will not learn the IR command directly from the remote (Outlaw 950 SAT souce button), so this is my only option. This is the only .ccf file I could find on the internet for the Outlaw 950. Please Help!

Thank you,
Robert Barker

I'm in the same boat, except that I have 59 codes that I can't manage to reduce in size from my Sony receiver: 29 sound field codes, 30 direct access radio codes.

Is there a way to do this manually or does anyone know of or have a utility that will eliminate redundant sections of the code?

Todd I don't know if any of th utilities in the Pronto file section might be able to help.

If not, then manually what you look for is something bizarre

4b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 0025 001d 0025 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 0025 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 0025 001c 004b 001c 00ab

and by comparing clean ones with the dirty ones (look at the length of the shorter ones)

the beginning of the hex gives the info
0000 006d 0074 0000
0000 006d 0022 0002
0000 = learnt = 0000
006d = frequency = 006d
0074 = length of the one time code = 0022
0000 = length of the repeat = 0002
the length is given in hex, so
0074 = 7*16+4= 116
0022 = 2*16+2= 34
0000 = 0
0002 = 2

That response made no sense to me at all. The entire code looks bizzare to me.

The problem is is that there are NO CLEAN CODES to comapre to. I have been fighting with the Sone STR-DE845 for 2 years now and can't find any code that allow for the direct changing of the sound fields or the radio presets due to the 2-way nature of the Sony remote I have and the inability to turn the 2-way off (on this model of the remote anyway).

I have gone into Sony stores and tied learning from other non-2-way remotes with no luck.

Now someone has a ccf for the Pronto that works, but the extracted code can't be converted to an ncf due to it being too long.

Is ther anyone who can/would be willing to clean up 59 hex codes? I would love to post these cleaned up codes on here since I always see folks having the same problems with Sony equipment, but no solutions to the problems.

The new version of neohacker will also convert Pronto code. Copy the code and in neohacker past it with the shortcut command. I think its ctrl+v.

I haven't seen anyone with all the sound fields for Sony receivers. I do have some, though. Prob. the same ones you do. If not check the files section. I have a toggle that will scroll through each sound field. I also have some descrete sound fields, too.

a number of ccf files do have all of the sound fields - there are 2 for db1070 which is basically the same receiver as the db870.
STR-DB1070
Remote: RM-LP205 (M5)
Author: Janusz Kuszak
Part of a complete system CCF file from Poland.
[ Details ] (32kb, 08/12/02)

STR-DB1070
Remote: Unknown (P1)
Author: Rufus
Simple CCF that includes the sound fields and second room controls.
[ Details ] (9kb, 10/22/01)

i have converted/moved a number of ccf ir codes into my m3200 without a prob BUT i cannot get the sound field codes to work. they are too long for pronto2neo and neohacker seems to work but the codes don't work in the m3200

any ideas? do you want to have a go at it?

thanks - let us know your thoughts
