I got a RC3200 two days ago.
First thing, since I read here the learning was BAD, I tried learning several codes. That went without a glitch.
Fooled around with the unit, built my first NCF, and... updated the firmware.
Now the remote won't learn, it fails if the key to be learned is pressed briefly ; and it freezes if the same key is pressed for a long time.
Help!
(Any way to revert to previous firmware ?)

Since you updated the firmware did you also upgrade to the newest neoedit? I have the most recent versions of both and have had no troubles learning.

I'm talking about a Marantz 3200 Unit.
Yes, I have the last Marantz RC3200 Edit, but I don't see what this has to do with the learning.

I had same problem with (2) RC3200's. After using RC3200 Update, neither remote would learn. I did later find out that there may be compatability problems with windows XP. 3rd remote programed fine but was not updated. Are new remotes different? Should RC3200 Update always be run in windows 98 compatability mode? Can I get bad remotes back in working order?
