Marc,
well I visited Marantz's web site and they state that the software will not work with XP. As a last desperate measure, if you can try to reflash from a Win98 machine it might be worth a try. Have you gotten a hold of Marantz yet? Butch

I should try and find a W98 machine and attempt to reflash. But when the downloads failed with XP it clearly stated something went wrong.

Gotta try anyway.

Not a word from Marantz, not that I expected much.

Marc,
Don't let Marantz off the hook. Keep writing sometimes it the only way. Good Luck man, and keep us tuned. Butch

Butch,
Posted again on marantz web site contact form. I also asked our guru Daniel if he had any idea how I should contact them, but haven't got an answer (yet ?).

I found on another thread how someone is making Marantz software work on a 2000/XP machine by using something called Win95 compatability. I am not sure what this is exactly or how it works but it sounds interesting. Anyone else out there heard about this. It could help the Marantz guys. Butch

Win95 compatibility is an option : you right-click the program shortcut, then you can chack several boxes so as to make the program believe win95 or so is in charge out there.

Still no word from marantz. I'm gonna return this unit.

Marc,
Well, Marantz really sucks for not returning your emails. Not a great way to get people's business. I am using a Pronto 2K and it is great! I recommend this unit to everyone. It has the best support here by far. Good luck Marc and keep me posted on what you end up getting. Butch
