Why can't they have an OTHER learnable catagory on the TSU500 ProntoNEO that could learn any device ??? Then us folks with unlisted devices could use the remote to learn these units remotes. My old Sony RM-AV2100 remote would learn anything but you couldn't rename the buttons for that device>

Not sure what you are talking about here...as the NEo can learn ANY other remote as is. MAybe if you explained a little more detail as to what the problem is, one could help you out..

PS. Most of my device were not in the Neo's ir datebase, but that doesn't matter, and I'd asume that they would be consided "Other" devices..

Steve...I guess I'm just real confused ???
Example: When I go to TV on the ProntoNeo, then to learn, and then push the ON button of my Pronto it says learning. I push the ON button of my source remote, SANYO PROJECTOR ,and I get a failed response. I have tried going to NeoEdit on my PC and when I go to the properties of the TV button I get alot of brands of TV's. I pick different ones, including SANYO, and none of the IR codes work. I thought the IR codes had to be discrete for a brand or model.
Please help!!!

Are you trying to learn while connected to the computer? If you are then dissconnect and learn as you would with any other remote, if you are not, do a search on this forum for learing and you will find lots info, the neo although a learing remote is stuborn with certain units, also you could check the files section, if you find configs with your devices you will have a least some if not all the codes you need.

No...not connected to PC. I just can't get the remote to learn a simple On and OFF command from my Sanyo pj remote . I used the Sanyo brand in the setup but no help. It does learn the MENU and SOURCE button from the remote but not ON and OFF.

Have you tried different angles when tring to learn? I also found that some buttons would learn if I pressed the OEM remote FIRST, then the Neo button I wanted to learn to. My Technics amp took over 50 try's I'd say for a few buttons too.. and they would finnally take. Sometimes I would just pound away, and it would take.
HAve you tried the Sanyo code thats in the CCF files for the Pronto?

Jerry, I sent you an Email with a NCF file attached. Hopefully it will give you on/off
The CCF file didn't have a button labled as on or off, but this looked to be it.
