Hi, I am about to be purchasing a used Denon 3801 receiver that has no remote. I am aware of the brand database installed in the NEO, and aware that Denon codes are available online. I also beleive that if I am in a crunch I could go to Tweeter etc. and just use a 3802 floor model's remote to learn from...assuming the codes are the same for the 3801 and 3802 because they look identical. AM I CRFAZY or can I get the neo to run my receiver without it's own remote to learn from? THANKS!!!

Try posting "Need codes for Denon 3801." There are none in the file section right now but someone could upload them for you if they had them. I believe you could even use NeoHacker to convert codes from a TSU-2000 if you could find someone on that board that could send you code. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that. Be forwarned. The Neo is an excellent remote, but because of it functionality and customability it can take some time to get right. Don't be afraid of technical problems with the software. I believe most of us have it working fine. Of couse an update with new and exciting features is always welcome.

Thanks...luckily I beleive the codes are the same as the 3802, and I saw that someone has posted about that already. Could you please explain how Neohacker works? Thanks!

The Yahoo files have tree Denon receivers. One is the 4802, onther the 2802, and one thats not listed.

You'll have to DL and check them out as I don't have a Denon :)
