Sorry for repeated posts, accidently hit tab/return before finishing.

Anyway, as above I'm all set to play with my new remote, I've downloaded some ncf files from the site here... and my problem surfaces, I can't open them. I expanded them, I even tried to create a new config. file and save it, which it let me do, however it wouldn't let me open it after I closed it.

The exact error message is "could not open the requested file!"

Has this happened to anyone else? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've got version 2.0.5

Well I'm about ready to give up... I've reinstalled the software multiple times with multiple downloads, I've even tried older versions with no improvement. The party line from phillips support after multiple attempts to get info was "we don't support neoedit, try remotecentral"

They only thing left to do that I don't think I'm willing to do is wipe the harddrive and restart from ground zero and see if that helps. I'm getting ready to return the remote while I still can.

I don't know if either of you still post here and still have the Neo but just incase you do I'm hoping you've solved the problem and can tell me what you did? I know, it's a long shot!

I thought I was the only one with this problem and I couldn't believe me luck when I finally found this thread but to find out that there's no fix here was very depressing!

Like I said in another post, I'll get on to Philips about this and see what they say, I should imagine they should support NEOedit as it's their software and it comes on their CD-ROMs with the remote as well as on their official website!

If I can't get this sussed I'll have to take it back as though it's a very good remote even without the PC custmomization, it's awkward if I can't add and delete buttons (you should really be able to do this without a PC) and I'd like to make smaller buttons and fit more letters/words on them where possible.

I've just found a place that's doing the 1MB Pronto for £5 delivered (less than $10) more than I paid for my NEO but I did like the fact that the NEO has those hard menu buttons, is small enough for one hand and as it's a new product (I'm used to getting things towards the end of their life and finding consumers and manufacters moving on and leaving me behind - though I don't really think this is really an issue with Pronto!)
