Ok, i'm in a delima that I can't seem to get out of without finding a kind sole to send me an older neoedit version.

I recently (about 3 months ago) built a nice little configuration for all my devices. I, however, (like an idiot) had to reinstall windows a few months and lost my config file and that particular version of neoedit.

Now, when I run the latest version of NeoEdit, it tells me that I need newer firmware. So then if I try to run the firmware upgrade, it tells me my config will be lost and therefore I need to upload the config. Grrrr...so i'm stuck in a endless neoedit loop.

Is there any other tool availabe to get the configuration OR could someone send me an older version? The original proto CD's version of neoedit doesn't even include an option to upload the config to the PC.

Free memory 100%
Boot V2.34b
System V1.0.8
App.1.3.3.2
CF TSU500 1.1

That's what my pronto's firmware is currently at.

Thanks
SCG

Hey,guy!

Well, I can relate to your problems......I am having the same problem, so I hope someone can help both of us out of this dilema. I really don't want to have to go through the entire process of learning codes and reprogramming this thing again! It took me many days to finally get it right and now I can't upload my configuration file so that I can save it and then upgrade the firmware.

HELP!!

If you still have the NCF file located in your computer you can do a find file just use *.NCF and see what pops up then copy that file to a disk before doing the firmware update.
Hope that helps

If you read his post you would see that he lost his NCF when he wiped out his computer.

I think your only solution is to find the previous release of NeoEdit. I found this link for NeoEdit 1.34 through Google:
[Link: home-cinema-services.com]

If that's not the right version, you could try emailing Philips' support.
