Can anyone tell me what is the discrete code to activate the 16:9 enhanced mode on Sony RPTV's, or at least where I can find it if it exists. BTW Where on the site are the discrete codes located.

TIA

Ok, I am still looking for some Help. I have a Sony KP53hs30 RPTV that is 4:3 aspect ratio. It has a 16:9 enhanced mode that I am using with my progressive Scan DVD. This feature has to be turned on through the setup menu each time you access that input (Video 5). Is there a discrete code for the sony that will turn this on when needed. I have tried to build a macro to do this, but I can not get this working. I have searched to files and I have not been able to find what I am looking for. Can someone tell if there is a discrete code for this function and where I can get it, or if anyone has any other suggestions to automate this.

Sonys are pretty decent for having Advance Codes. I looked and nothing is listed for this, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. I searched for Advance Codes on my Sony DVD changer and found plenty not listed on the web sites. So if your serios about finding out, buy a Cinema7 or Radio Shack remote and search for it..

Just an update. I was finally able to get the macro to work. I put a 1 sec delay between each step of the macro so I could see what was happening. As it turned out when using the internal IR code, it was actually moving 2 steps for every button in the sequence. I had to learn the up, down, left, and right keys to get it to work. Once I learned the buttons it moved as it was supposed to. Thanks for the help
