Hi all,

just wanted to import a Pronto Code into the Neo.
Used Pronto Edit to get the code.
(5000 0000 0000 0001 0000 0022)
Used NeoHacker 0.7 to put it in.

Errormessage appeared:

Pronto Codes need to start with 0000

Why does my code start with 5000.

Any hints appreciated.

See if the pronto descrete for your device is in the files section under pronto. If it is copy it and paste it into neohacker.

Good luck.

Hi Micf,

ProntoEdit codes starting with a 5000 are [RC5] codes. As far as I know Neo Hacker can convert [RC5] codes but only if they have been learned to the Pronto. In that case the code looks different. I've stumbled onto the same problem that copying [RC5]codes straight into Neo Hacker doesn't work.

PatSpector... is that correct or not?

Does the Spreadsheet help in this Case?

I Think the code is learned, cause I downloaded it here from the Filesection and it seems not to be on the ROM for predefined Devices.

the first part of the Pronto code

5000 or 0000 or..... tells the Pronto how to act

anything other then 0000 is referential 5000 means that it references an RC5 code actualy in your case that is device code 0 and button code 22 in HEX or 34 in Decimal

try Philips TV recall

Sorry, but

try what?

So this is only a reference of a preprogrammed code?
Where do I get the right code now?

Any Pronto code that does not start with 0000 is a pre-programmed code in its datatbase and cannot be translated. 5000 is a RC5 code. You need to find the Pronto learned code and translated that.

Willem, NeoHacker v0.7 will not convert RC5 codes. It uses the algorithims I developed prior to deciphering the RC5 format. You will need to download the Pronto2Neo v1.5.0 converter which now has RC5 conversion capability.

Hi PatSpector,

Oops, you're correct. I mixed the 2 tools up. However, for me the [RC5] codes still don't work.

Example:
5000 0073 0000 0001 0013 0010 (vol +) [RC5] 19 16
5000 0073 0000 0001 0013 0011 (vol -) [RC5] 19 17
5000 0073 0000 0001 0013 000C (StandBy) [RC5] 19 12
All come back with the same Neo code in Pronto2Neo v1.5.0 : 0 f 6c 1 66 1 13 3f 4f 5e f9 6

And till now I've not been able to get the converted Neo codes to work.

Am I doing something wrong?

Rgdrs,
Willem

Willem, 5000 series codes are in the Pronto database and are not learned codes which have RAW IR data. With the tools we have now, you cannot convert codes that are in the Pronto database. Find learned codes - they all start with 0000.

Hi PatSpector,

I see... makes sense. Back to the Pronto archives...

Thanks!

Willem
