If I understand correctly (and to clarify for MJW) the learnt code does not work if you press it twice in a row.

If I am not mistaken Thompson uses RC5 codes (made by Philips). RC5 codes have a toggle bit (every time you press the button a different code is sent so there is a 1A and a 1B) so when the device is waiting for an A code it does not accept a B code. I know in the Pronto (not Neo) you can enter RC5 codes directly. But I don't know about the Neo.

You could try the Philips or Magnavox or Marantz TVs since they all use RC5 codes. If that does not help, then an other work around is to make every button a macro where you learn the A code on every button, and then you add a B code that does nothing.

I know this thread is a few days old now, but in response to Snuffel's request & in agreement with Anthony:

I use a Thomson TV and have had to make the following work-around for my RC3200:

As Anthony explained, the number buttons seem to rotate their codes (RC5 apparently??). This was especially frustrating when trying to reach page 555 of teletext for the lottery or alternating between AV1/2/3. Basically, I had to find a button on the TV remote that didn't actually do anything ('Reset Counter' for use with a video). I then tought this button code to the RC3200 and mapped it after every number key for the Thompson on the RC3200. This means that, for example, every time I press "1" it actually sends ["1" + "Reset Counter"] which effectively resets the "1" back to "1a".

This may be obvious to some of the regular readers but took me a flash of inspiration to work out :o)

Hope this is of help Snuffel. And thanks for explaining why I had the problem in the first place Anthony!

Sorry but I don't uderstand very much how to resolve the problem (probably I'm new of all of this)
The only thing I know that sometimes during the learning of i key in rc3200 if I tap very quikly the button of the original control, sometimes it works.
I've a Thompson television and I have a lot of problem with the directional button.
There is someone that can explain me with a simple procedure to resolve
