I just recently got a neo and i love it except for one thing i will not learn the and funtion from my panasonic remote. it fails right away like it doesnt like the frequency. does anyone know what i can do to fix it? or is the neo incapable of learning panasoic codes. if that is the case does anyone know if the pronto model will have the same issues?

Keep trying. I had to hold my Zenith DTV1080 about 18" away to get some of the buttons to learn. Try different lengths of time holding the button down too. Some had to hold 1 second others 1-2 seconds.

One code (guide I think) I had to hold the Zenith remote at a 45 degree angle to the ProntoNeo ... but they eventually all were accepted.

try looking in the "files" section of this web site and see someone has a ncf for your system.

I have several Panasonic products including a DVD player and a Plasma TV. The DVD player's codes were especially frustrating to input, but with patience they can be done. Also, as Smacker suggests, there are many Panasonic product codes already input by others and you can download the ncf files and copy over the pieces you need.

Its time consuming, but the results are satisfying. --Karl

Is this Pronto Neo just a piece of junk or what? We're installing our first one and it won't learn codes to a Samsung SyncMaster 150MP LCD TV/VGA monitor. Maybe it's just the Samsung remote however. Oh well

Sometimes the trick is to press the mfg. remote button as quickly as possible.

Learning codes can be very frustrating with the NEO. You have to jump through hoops to get it to learn some of the buttons of other remotes. If it is going to "learn" at all, it should be quick and painless, not hours of tedium. Even my Radio Shack remote learns usually on the first try!

I had the exact same problem on my RC3200, I called Marantz, they told me the remote I had needed replacing as there is a design fault. I now have a new one and everything is fine!
