OK...now I'm the retard. I have finally found ONE thing I cannot get right on my ProntoNeo. It's no show stopper, but I would love it if someone out there can tell me how to fix it.

On my Tivo remote, there is a button that is labeled Enter/Last. It is both an Enter button for the numbers 0 through 9 (used to change the channel) and also functions as a Last or Previous Channel button. I noticed that every button on this remote (all except this one were "learned" to the Neo perfectly) causes the little red Tivo remote light to come on and stay on as long as you hold the button down. This particular button only causes the light to flash for about .5 to 1 second, no matter how long you hold down the button. I've tried pressing it quickly, holding it down, different angles, pressing it twice and anything else I could think of. Nothing works. Everything else for all other componants work great.

Any suggestions?

I just recently had the exact same issue. All of the buttons would learn with the exception of the "Enter" button.

There is a simple solution, however. In the NeoEdit software make sure that the device is VCR and the second drop down selector should be Tivo. Then select one of the two possible codes that are listed for the Tivo.

Once you have done this, open the remote control window that has the "enter" key that you were previously trying to "train" and edit the button by double-clicking on it.

This will bring up the dialog box which contains all the properties for this button. In the first tab called "Actions", make sure that you are sending an IR-Code and then double-click on the work IR-Code. Use the drop-down selector on the box that pops up and select "Enter".

Viola! That's all there is to it.

I created an ncf file that contains my TIVO selections at: [Link: evisions.com]

Take a look at it and post another reply if you have any other questions.

Hey,

I had the same problem until I discovered through another thread in this forum that there is an easy fix. Under ver 1.3 of NeoEdit select your Tivo device to be a VCR and then look for the band Tivo. The Codeset 0645 has the enter button as well as a few other tivo commands but no thumbs up/down. Hope this helps.

I have followed these suggestions and got it to work also, but I have a new problem. I have 2 Tivo's both hooked together in the same Infered chain and set one Tivo up with the alternate infered codes based on the Tivo manual. Now the coded enter button in the Neo actually issues 'enter' for both Tivo's. This of course causes problems if both Tivo's are being used on different TV's and then any of the channel macros or enter button will cause the other Tivo to switch back to the prevous channel non intentially. Has anyone else ran into this or have any idea's?

Thanks.

Did anyone ever turn up a solution to this? I have the same problem -- two TiVos that need separately programmed Enter buttons on my Neo.
