I have a SBC RU930(same as TSU 500) but have misplaced the serial cable. Philips have sent me another one but I believe it is the wrong one. My question is, on the jack end i.e the end plugging into the remote, are there two plastic bands as per a normal stereo jack plug or 3 i.e. is the plug divided into 3 or 4 metal segments(including the tip).

The photograph in the manual certainly shows there as being 3 black rings but the one sent by philips only has two.

have you tried it? as far as i can recall the 'stereo' plug is the correct one, plug it into your pc and see if you can pull the existing program out of the neo.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have tried it and it doesnt work. I already had another cable and it also doesnt work but it worked fine before I lost the original Philips cable. Do you or anyone else have the original cable in which case you could see if it has two or three black rings on the cable

Sorry my last post it should have said two or three rings on the jack plug but problem has now been resolved. The fault lies with the serial connection on my computer and not the cable. Now working fine. Thanks for any responses
