Please help,
I'm trying to upload a new configuration file to my ProntoNeo but I keep getting the message 'the device connected to this pc is not designed for this configuration file'.

I have successfully downloaded the current configuration to my pc using a serial-USB adaptor but even if I try to upload exactly the same config, completely unchanged, I still get this message.

Really appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance
Dan

Hi Hitby,

Try the following: download the current config. Click on save as.
Now make sure that the 'save as type' selector reads your type of your ProntoNeo.

e.g. I live in Europe and have a ProntoNeo RU930. So i need to set the type to RU930.

After that try to upload the configuration back to the ProntoNeo and hopefully it will do that.

This error can also result from the the serial port not being available, occupied by some other program. I get this error message if I forget to turn off the Palm Hotsync Manager, which also uses the Com1 port.
