I try to convert RC5 codes with Pronto2Neo but when i enter RC5 two digit System and Command numbers in decimal in the following format: XX XX, The result windows says:'' #NAME?"


Does someone tried to convert RC5 codes with this method before?
I also tried to use ProntoEdit4 to have RC5 code.
I create a button, i choose ADD IR / ADVANCED and i ask by exemple for 7 - 1.

The result is: 5000 0000 0000 0001 0007 0001

the code looks too small and Pronto 2 Neo converter doesn't want to convert it.
and Neohacker only accept codes that starts with 0000 ...


I have a program to generate RC5 codes into Hex codes.

By exemple, 7-1 code for me is :79 03 f2 06 36 5b 00 6f 05 08 05 06 05 05 08 05 05 05 06 01 04 36 5b 05 08 05 06 05 05 08 05 05 05 06 01 04 36 5b

But the code is different because pronto uses packets of 4 digits:
0000 007e 0000 0011 000a 0046 000a 0046 000a 0046 000a 001e 000a 001e 000a 001e 000a 0046 000a 001e 000a 001e 000a 0046 000a 001e 000a 001e 000a 001e 000a 0046 000a 0046 000a 001e 000a 0355

When trying this out i noticed that when i didn't have the 'analysis toolpack' add-in installed it reacted as you describe.

Can you make sure you have installed the add-in called 'analysis toolpack'? (see readme.txt in the Pronto2Neo folder and the how to in text at the bottom of the Pronto2Neo xls converter.)

Hope that this also applies for your other question about pronto2neo conversion.

But in fact, the analysis toolpack is installed on my computer.

I have not told you but as i am French, my office 2003 is in French and maybe that's why it doesn't work at all.

A chinese student girl lives with me at home and her computer with chinese Windows and Office works a little bit better. It means that, when i open Pronto2Neo converter (downloaded on remotecentral) on her computer, the first field in the first page is not blank ( there is an example) and it gives a result. But when i replace it by a RC5 code (ex: 06 27 ) it doesn't work

And as her computer is all in chinese i don't know if its configuration is ok (maybe not up to date...)

I really need these codes for my work that's why, if you or someone else can translate these RC5 codes for me, it would be very nice.
"from 07 00 to 07 40 and from 08 00 to 08 40"

And i think that the complete list (.xls) should be available on remotecentral for everyone.

and the 0008 0000 - 0008 - 0040 ranges?

So maybe it is that!

I only know (as it is said in Pronto2 Neo converter) that The RC5 codes are classified by 2 digit (for the Device to control) and 2 digits again for the second part (for the fuction... stop, play, rwd, etc...)

After, i don't know, maybe for a pronto remote, the code is 5000 0000 0000 0001 0007 0040 (and it is 07 40 for me)

But after, i need to convert it for a Pronto Neo and add it into the remote file using NeoHacker.

Can you tell me if i'm right or wrong?
Can you give me the IR codes i have to write into the Pronto neo program?
