Hope someone can help.
I have operated the TSU500 for about 18 months.
It has firmware 1.5.3, and I am using the 2.0.5 software.
It had a system crash last week, and would not operate anymore.
I had to hit the reset button, and revert back to original configuration to get it working.
I went to download my back-up .ncf file, and get an error stating this not the correct configuration.
I tried to create a new TSU500 configuartion with a single device.
The same error occurs. I suspect the crash is permanent, and its time to buy another. Any Ideas ?

Thnak you for your reply.
I went to Phillips and found Neo updater V2.1.3 for the TSU500.
It contains firmware 1.5.3 which is what I already have. I donwloaded from Phillips anyway, and installed it to the remote.
I then tried my old file, and a new file I created with just one device as a TSU500 type .ncf file. I will not download either. I still receive the same message, "Trying to download into a device not designed for this configuration file."
I tried in setup mode and use mode as well. Any other thoughts ?.
Thanks again.

I had the same problem. In my case it appears that NeoEdit is capable of detecting the ProntoNEO on COM1 for upload to my PC, however it tries to download to PronoNEO using COM2, resulting in the message "Trying to download into a device not designed for this configuration file". Under Options/Connection I changed it to COM1 and then it worked again.

While in NeoEdit, click on the Options tab at the top, then Connections and pull down Com1. It didn't work for me though.

It could be something as simple as changing to another brand of batteries. I used a cheap brand and had problems communicating with the remote. Finally I changed batteries and it work like a charm!
