hello,
when i sit on my couch in the evening an use the hardbuttons on my pronto neo i ask myself if it is possible that the touchscreen does not switch on when i only use the hardbuttons. when i surf the tv programm i only use the hardbuttons but the touchscreen is on also and needs much batterie power. so i now ask the community if it is possible that the touchscreen stays off when i use hardbuttons and switchs on only when i touch it ? i ask because the pronto which i had before the pronto was able to do it.

thanks for answers and bye

Not sure how to turn the touchscreen off independently of the hard buttons.

You can play around w/ the light though. I like mine to light up everytime I touch the screen or a hardbutton. If yours does this, then your backlight setting is set to "ON".

If you turn this off, the backlight will only turn on when you press the backlight button on the left side of the remote. It will stay on for the number of seconds following the last screen tap that you determine, anywhere from like 1 to 120 seconds.

If you wanna adjust your settings, hold down the MODE hard button, select SETUP, and if backlight says ON, lower the setting. If it has a number, it'll only turn on when you press the backlight button. If it says ON, it turns on everytime you press any button.

If it currently has a number, and you want it to be "ON", then hold down on the + key until it goes past 120, and it'll convert to "ON". The only problem is that it increases the LCD setting at the same time, to 120. You might want to change that back down to 15 or whatever.

So you can definitely change the backlight settings to save power.

Hope this helps.
