Hi, everyone,
I have a problem with serial communication. Right now I have a device talking to the PC through serial connection. The serial port on the device is working on full duplex mode. The setting is 19200, no parity, 8 data bit and 1 stop bit. There is only three lines connecting the device and the PC(TX, Rcv and GND).
The problem is sometime the transmission data from the PC get lost while the device is sending data to the PC, the PC also starts to send out data back to the device. I hooked up a protocol analyzer between the device and the PC, I found out the transimission data from the PC is truncated, not complete.
Half duplex is not an option for me right now, as I am actually doing PPP networking between the device and the PC.
It would be great if someone could help me with this, Thanks,
Larry
