Hi, I'm out of my mind as my RC3200 isn't working. The only signs of life are the two beeps I get (along with a quick flash of the Marantz "bootup" screen) when I press the reset button or re-insert batteries.

At first I thought it was simply a matter of the remote not liking the batteries (rechargable ones, freshly charged - but hey, they've been fine for the last few months). Then I tried brand new Panasonic alkaline ones - and well, I got the same response. Just two quick beeps and that Marantz screen again.

None of the buttons work and I've even tried the side ones - Yes, I did think there was a possibility the screen was too bright! I've even tried uploading from the remote to the PC editing program - but it can't find the remote anymore.

So has anyone got any ideas as to what's happened and what can be done to fix it? Unfortunately I bought the remote off of eBay (brand new, not s/h) so my usual (UK) consumer rights don't apply - although I'll get in contact with the seller anyway (it's worth a shot).

If there's nothing I can do and the seller isn't helpful I'll get in contact with Marantz, but I fear it'll be very expensive getting it repaired (probably more than I paid for it!).

If anyone can help, I'll be eternally grateful

I know how you feel, the touch screen on my Pronto 500 died Wednesday night. Im wondering if it will be cheaper to just buy another remote, lol.
