i am having trouble with a denon 1804 receiver accepting volume commands, was teaching on a dead battery in the 3200, but still having problems after replacing the batteries. i have taught all volumes on all pages, NO Links. please help.

ANd None of them Worked at all? Or is it just steppign instead of ramping?
I've had no issues with Denon volume comands on Neos or 3200's. You could use any Denon NCF in the files area for volume.
Make sure you denon remote has fresh batteries as well.
