You are all probably sick of newbies like me but I need help.
My ProntoNEO RU930 is currently useless to me. That's because I can't seem to get it to work for my:
XBox Telewest Cable Box Creative Labs Inspire 5.1 surround sound speaker Sanyo CE28WP5 TV (!!!)
On the last point, I can turn it on and off using the codes but that's it.
I thought there would be a function within in the software that would download codes for all of these types of things and you would just have to download it to your controller from the PC?
Is it possible to use my controller with these things? Do I really have to get it to learn all of the individual commands? What am I doing wrong? (probably everything?)
Thanks for any help

I'm too a newbee, but I found something helpfull about IR learning.
1 - With NeoEdit, you can't add learned codes, nor copy / paste. 2 - To hack your config, you need NeoHacker (file section), then you can copy/paste and modify the codes. 3 - With my french Cable Box, I noticed that learning is ok less than 1 to 10, tried all sort of configuration (near, far , long, medium, short press of button). Looking with NeoHacker, I found a difference between working and non working code, in the pattern of course (the end of the code), but also in the 8 first caracters, not very normal. When copying theses 8 caracters from a working code over a non working code, this code became a working one....
As I was very disapointed at the begining, trying to learn the codes from my cable box, even thinking it was impossible, until finding ONE working code, I suggest tring again and again until ONE code works, then try my 'hack'...

Which tyoe of Telewest box? The earlier ones used IR codes based on the IRDA protocol and cannot be directly driven from the NEO (it can't send those codes). But here is a very neat deice that fixes that problem (I have one and it works fine): [Link: letsautomate.com]?
