I have a "made in Indonesia" Neo purchased last fall but not activated until last night (I've been busy). The setup button would not activate so I went to the web and downloaded the new firmware. The download went fine. When I activated the unit, the calibration screen came on. No matter what I do, I get a "Calibration failed" message. The cancel button does not work. Can anyone help?

Make sure your calibratng with a small pointed object, not your finger.

A Golf tee or the end of the DL cable work well.

I've tried several objects, including a blunt tipped pencil and the stylus for my Dell Axim, to no avail. I can't seem to get through to support for the Neo. Does anyone have any advice?

I'm currently having the exact same problem you did, except mine started out of the blues when I noticed that buttons on the upper portion of the touchscreen was not responding correctly. I found that I needed to touch those buttons slightly above the actual buttons in order to get proper response. So, I tried to re-calibrate, but it kept failing to do so. Then, I tried re-loading the firmware. Now, I'm exactly where you were at. I just get the calibration screen with no way to calibrate. Did you ever find a solution to your problem. I would appreciate any input.
